LIBRARY - Our first visit of the year

We enjoyed our first session at our wonderful library today.
The children have all chosen books to read for the week.  With the use of our book bags, we will be able to keep the books in tip top condition.
Thank you Mrs Burns!

Unfortunately the noise level was a little high for the library.
Next time we will need to remember our quiet library voice.

Calling all helpers for the Mighty March Circus Carnival

Please keep an eye out for notices in the school newsletter.

The PTA and some extra helpers are desperately trying to put everything together to make our Mighty March Circus Carnival on Saturday March 21 a great success.

For a school of over 400 children, our last count at the meeting was 12 and that included 5 staff members.

We'd love some more help and support.  If you are a FACEBOOK member, how about liking our Waikanae School PTA page as we are trying to post as much information as possible.  We are also in the process of developing a dedicated website for this 'Mighty March' and those being held in the future.

There will be Mighty March meetings in the school staffroom every Monday evening until the event starting 16 February.  All meetings begin at 7pm.

Meetings are usually a laugh and we're a great bunch to work with.  We look forward to seeing some of you ;)

Some interesting facts

I'm not sure how accurate these are but some of them are quite thought provoking.  What do you think?
